Mooring Services is a company made up of professional personnel with a wide professional background in the maritime-port area in performing efficiently, effectively and qualitatively the mooring and unmooring vessel services in Ports.

We offer the consignees and the ship owners a high quality service: quick and safe both for the vessel and for the professionals who perform such service. The quality in the service is obtained thanks to a team of professionals who master the mooring activity.

The Maritime Pilot is the advisor of the Captain. He provides his service whenever the master of a ship calling a port requires a pilot. He is self employed by law and has to offer his services to ships through a Pilot Corporation. While performing his duty the Master of a ship is always responsible for the command of his vessel. The pilot may however take over the navigation of the vessel with the consent of the master. This does not relieve the master of being in command of his ship all the time.

Legislation determines which ships have to take a pilot by law.

"Smart Corridor"

The main goal of the "Smart Corridor" gating system is the creation more favorable conditions for foreign trade participants observing the legislation in the import-export operations, to strengthen the export potential of the country through acceleration of goods turnover from the customs border, in accordance with the recommendations of the World Customs Organization and advanced international experience, to form voluntary compliance culture among foreign trade participants, application of customs control based on risk assessment, more flexible and transparent implementation of customs clearance of goods and means of transport and also customs control, to facilitate international trade by establishing civil servants-entrepreneur relations in import-export operations on the basis of modern management principles.

The implementation of the integrated Food Safety policy involves various actions, namely:

·to assure effective control systems and evaluate compliance with EU standards in the food safety and quality, animal health, animal welfare, animal nutrition and plant health sectors within the EU and in non-EU countries in relation to their exports to the EU;

·to manage international relations with non-EU countries and international organisations concerning food safety, animal health, animal welfare, animal nutrition and plant health;

·to manage relations with the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and ensure science-based risk management.

Safety

Every citizen has the right to know how the food they eat is produced, processed, packaged, labelled and sold.

The central goal of the World Food Safety policy is to ensure a high level of protection of human health regarding the food industry, one of the largest manufacturing and employment sector.

The guiding principle, primarily set out in its White Paper on Food Safety, is to apply an integrated approach from farm to fork covering all sectors of the food chain.

Animals

The objective of the Animal Health policy is to raise the health status and improve the conditions of the animals in the world, in particular food-producing animals, whilst permitting international trade and imports of animals and animal products in accordance with the appropriate health standards and international obligations.

The general aim of the Animal Welfare policy is to ensure that animals don’t need to endure avoidable pain or suffering and obliges the owner/keeper of animals to respect minimum welfare requirements.

The EU zootechnical legislation aims at the promotion of free trade in breeding animals and their genetic material considering the sustainability of breeding programs and preservation of genetic resources.

We take actively part in the setting of international phytosanitary and quality standards for plants and plant products.

Banks are important facilitators of international trade. Besides providing liquidity they guarantee payment for around a fifth of world trade. The banking sector thus plays an important role in international business. Today, almost all Banks have formed collaborative alliances and established correspondent banking relationships with Banks in other countries to better serve their international business community. Banks play a key role in forming a bond of trust between buying and selling agents executing transactions in international markets. Local Banks have intermediary Banks outside the country, which assist in effecting international payments hence the receipt and payment for goods and services by local people.

Banks play a pivotal role in foreign trade through the provision of the financial structure and instruments necessary for the conduct of business transactions between foreign buyers and sellers. Banks ensure safety and transparency in the flow of documents and money. Buyers (importers) of goods from abroad, the sellers (exporters) will want to be assured of payment, and as a buyer one would want assurance that all terms and conditions of the purchase agreement are kept. This requires then that the Banks come in to broker an agreement and work as an intermediary between the importer and the exporter.
